William was my guide during 4 days' stay in Beijing. He was extremely helpful in navigating through the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and the Mutiankou section of the Great Wall. His explanations were always very entertaining and to the point and his English was excellent. He gave great advice on where to discover Beijing cuisine, where to get the best fruits (apricots were delicious!) and what is best to do at night.

We had a great experience with China Highlights and our tour guide for the two days in Beijing, Liu Yuan (Lily), was excellent. She is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the Forbidden Palace, Temple of Heaven, The Great Wall and the Summer Palace. These are the places we visited with her. She is patient and didn't rush us at all. She adapted the tour activities and schedule to accommodate our interests and side trips such as Bei Hai Park. She is also very helpful: she took the extra time to walk us to the pizza restaurant in a mall which we would not have found on our own. We appreciate everything Lily did for us and highly recommend her.

I booked on short notice and Roger was very quick in responding and planning the shedule to our wishes. Our guide was very friendly and we got along great and our driver very polite. Unfortunately due to a lot of traffic our shedule was affected but we were not hurried and could enjoy our 2 destination Greta wall and the Summer Palace. I would recommend booking with China Highlights!

We had an amazing experience with China Highlights and our Bejing Guide Jack. We travelled through China for two weeks with two small kids (3-5) and all the China Highlights Guides and Drivers went out of their way to make this a memorable experience. Jack and our driver Mr. Lee in Bejing were amazing and we had a wonderful time here. The kids loved the great wall and the topoganing down, the face painting and the rikscha ride - and we loved all the sights. Jack and Mr. Lee were very patient with us and the kids and we managed to see everything in a relaxed fashion. We can highly recommend China Highlights and Jack and Mr. Lee.

Olivia was our guide throughout the tour.During the actual tour, Olivia was exceptional and provided us with great insights into the sights and history as well as stories about Chinese culture and experiences (I now have to visit more places in China!). Her restaurant recommendations were amazing and I will definitely trust her to find great food options. She even showed us to our train gate at the end!

We had a 3 day tour of Beijing with our amazing tour guide Tom. He is super knowledgeable, and we learned a lot from him about the interesting history of everything we saw. He also took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. I highly recommend Tom!

We visited The Great Wall in Mutianyu and the Changling Tomb. We had a good buffet lunch and had some interesting conversation about local life. Recommend Linda from China Highlights as a guide in Beijing. It was really hot on the wall, so better be earlier.

I live in California and was referred to your company by a friend in Beijing for a group of 4, private tour to Beijing and the Great Wall in 9/2023. My wife in and spent 3 delightful days in the area, including an overnight in the Longji Rice terraces and a cruise on the Li river. We had laid out our preferences and all the arrangement had been made by China Highlights: guide, car, hotels and the cruise. I appreciate their willingness to ability to tailor the time to our priorities, and our guide Vincent, also was happy to adapt the schedule to our interests on the fly. Vincent is an outstanding guide and was an important part of the success. In addition to being knowledgeable and flexible, he is also very personable - critical when someone is joining your vacation for 3 days. He ably helped find and arranged for vegetarian food and took additional photos that he shared with us. I highly recommend both China Highlights and Vincent.

Our Tour Guide Chase is very caring and full of patience throughout the trip , we have the best of fun in Guilin and Yangshuo , so much to see and sceneries to die for . Thank you China Hightlights!!

A shout out to Chinahilghts and especially Jennie for taking me and my entire family (big group) around Guilin and Yangshuo! Jennie was informative and knew the best places to eat, take pictures, shopping, sightseeing, activities, etc. She was very knowledgeable and resourceful. We had a wonderful time at Guilin with our guide Jenny. We were a large group of 10, with ages ranging from 25 to 80.Jenny was not only knowledgeable, she is also conversant in both Chinese and English. Although we had an itinerary planned, she was flexible and catered to the needs and interests of both the young and old.She took us to places to soak in the culture and enjoy and local cuisine. Guilin is such a mountainous place, yet she was able to take the elderly up the rice terraces and eat bamboo rice with the locals.We even managed to have a surprise birthday celebration dinner and Jenny went out of her way to buy a birthday cake for her.She made the trip memorable, affordable and possible for both the young and elderly travelling together.

Our tour guide, Jenny, was thoughtful and experienced. As we were travelling as a big family with old folks, she was able to cater to our needs. Overall, it was a memorable experience and we will consider choosing China Highlight again!

Went on an amazing trip with Jenny and Mr Zhang (driver) with my family. The tour was seamless and many of the administrative complications were settled by Jenny. The experience, needless to say, was very pleasurable and enjoyable. Administrative matters aside, Jenny and Mr Zhang are such caring individuals that go the extra mile to help make our experience better, from providing us useful local tips during our travels to helping the elderly in our group move around safely. I am grateful to have had such wonderful guides during our stay in Guilin, and would definitely recommend them to those who are looking for a good and enjoyable experience.

Guilin exceeded all our expectations, but our guide Jenny, was even better. She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. She also helped with all our requests outside of what was already arranged, at her own expense. Great organization for a tour on the rice terraces of Longsheng near Guilin. Our guide Chase, always available and extremely kind and helpful, did an amazing job navigating us through the rice terraces with a lot of great explanations! Amazing time, very recommended!

We had a really nice tour with China Highlights and our Tourguide Chase in Guilin. The unique mountain landscape is a must-see when visiting China and a welcoming change to the big city life. We also went to Yuangshuo with the li river cruise and stayed at a cozy hotel. The tour was very well planned and they made sure that we had a great time.

We just returned from a trip to Guilin, the mountain rice terraces, the Li River, and a tour of local markets and farms. Roger Li was helpful setting up the trip, and Jenny Zheng was a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable and fun to be with. Ms. Tao was a safe diver as well. Beautiful scenery and a worthwhile trip. Accommodations were good and we loved the food. Highly recommended!

My first tour was to drive to the rice terraced fields of Longsheng. I have only seen pictures before so it was truly amazing to see this in person. My guide Jenny #chinahighlights, did an excellent job of watching me as I walked and pointing out everything along the way. Insects, plants, explanations of what is going on with the plantings of rice, in particular. I had no idea at all about those details. We ended by climbing down and up into the village which you see down below at the beginning. Jenny brought me to a local house and our hostess had already prepared the sticky rice and smoked pork in bamboo, a fresh pickled cucumber salad, plus some home made sticky rice wine. All were very new and all very good! I recommend this trip as a learning experience! It is a lot of walking but it's worth it.

This was a private tour with China Highlights for 8 of us (6 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 6) as part of a larger tour taking in Beijing and Wuhan. Our guide, Jenny, was fantastic and helped us to get the most out of the trip. She took us to some lovely, off the beaten track, restaurants and took care to plan the itinerary around our needs. We required a minibus for transport and the driver too was excelent. The weather wasn't kind to us as it was very humid and misty and there was some rain, but the trip to the rice fields and the boat trip through the Karst mountain scenery were both great. Some of us also went on the bamboo rafting trip which was well organised and very safe.

Guilin is amazing and I feel that China Highlights and my guide Chase helped me get the max out of a six day stay.

We went on a private two-day tour of Guillin and Yangshuo with China Highlights during the Qingming spring break holiday. Chase was our guide and we will definitely recommend him to others. He made the whole trip run smoothly so we could just enjoy and relax. He was very patient, kind, and helpful with us and our two small children. We enjoyed talking with him about Chinese culture and his own life experiences. We loved our stay at The Moondance Hotel. The home style tofu dish and waffles they made were delicious! The highlights for our family were the Reed Flute Cave, Li River cruise, and bike ride through the countryside of Yangshuo. We wish we had a few more days in Yangshuo to explore more of the breathtaking natural landscape. Thank you Chase and China Highlights for an unforgettable time in such a beautiful place!

And our luck doesn’t just end there, it continues with our guide, Jay. Jay was very caring and observant. He anticipated our needs and looked after us. He was also very knowledgeable about the history and the geography of Guilin and Yangshuo. However, he would never bore us with too much details; he knew when to stop, but if we showed interest, and wanted to hear more, Jay always had more to share. And knowing my kids didn’t speak good Chinese, he would repeat in English again, making sure my kids didn’t miss out the important stuffs. Another good thing about having private tour is the flexibility. The rainy season started already in April, and there was this one day we were supposed to go to the bamboo rafting, but Jay was quick to suggest about swapping our program, so that we went first to the fan workshop, then the bamboo rafting and dodged the rain. Jay was kind and pleasant to be with. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is planning a trip to the Guilin / Yangshuo area. I once had doubts about Yangshuo being a boring scenic place, but now I am mesmerized by its beauty and the exciting activities it offers.

Very well organised and professional service from start to finish. We had an amazing tour guide (Gary) who taught us so much about the culture and history of the area. His local knowledge gave us a true insight into the history of the people as we walked through the ancient villages and stunning landscape. I thoroughly recommend visiting Guilin and Yangshuo - such a magical place! I would also recommend Gary as a tour guide as he took us to some amazing hidden gems that were a little off the beaten track :)

Gary Wei was an excellent guide who gave me personalized attention and made sure everything went smoothly. Bamboo raft cruise down the Li River, a hike along the river bank, countryside biking in Yangshuo, exploring caves and hills around the area…everything was magically beautiful.
